Manager – Process Compliance (Lending)

The Process Compliance Manager ensures that processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves developing compliance frameworks, conducting process audits, and working closely with various departments to ensure that processes are effective, efficient, and compliant. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Program Development: Develop and implement compliance programs and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Update and maintain compliance documentation and process maps to reflect current regulations and best practices. Process Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular audits and assessments of collections processes to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and procedures, and recommend enhancements as needed. Regulatory Monitoring: Stay informed about changes in regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Analyse the impact of regulatory changes on existing processes and update compliance programs accordingly. Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks associated with Collections processes and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Work with Collections teams to address issues and implement corrective actions. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about compliance requirements and process best practices. Promote a culture of compliance and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities related to process adherence. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed reports on compliance status, audit findings, and risk assessments to senior management. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit results, and corrective actions taken. Process Improvement: Collaborate with process owners and departments to identify opportunities for process improvement while maintaining compliance. Implement and oversee changes to processes to enhance efficiency and regulatory adherence. Internal and External Relations: Serve as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors during compliance reviews and inspections. Liaise with internal stakeholders to address compliance- related queries and issues. Attributes we are looking for – Must be CA/MBA/Graduate and above and have at least 5 years experience in Collections Compliance/ Process audits – Experience in New age NBFCs or Banks is mandatory. – Must have thorough understanding of collections methodology Ability to work with senior leadership and management teams across business units. – Knowledge of current regulation pertaining to collections
